Powering India's
Hydrogen Ecosystem

As demand for energy rises worldwide, there is a need to tap alternate energy sources that are greener, renewable and abundant in supply. Hydrogen is one such source. India's advantage due to its geographical location, climate conditions and abundance of solar, wind and hydro energy can make it a global hydrogen hub by 2050.

ICS 2021 is an initiative by the Environment Committee, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with NITI Aayog, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research and the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Read More

Fuelling the
next generation

Green Hydrogen is considered to be one of the cleanest fuels for both transport and power generation. The cost reduction in hydrogen production, storage, transmission, distribution, and application has become important area of global shift for regulators, investors and consumers. Read More

For a cleaner
greener future

Hydrogen production is energy intensive, and there is a need to exploit non-greenhouse gas producing sources like wind & solar to generate electricity for the purpose. While reducing the burden on fossils fuels, large scale use of hydrogen energy - a 100% clean fuel - will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Read More

INTERNATIONAL CLIMATE SUMMIT 2021

Why is the summit important?

International Climate Summit 2021 assumes significance as it is poised to be the gateway to Glasgow in November 2021 where a number of world leaders including India’s Honourable Prime Minister will come together to arrive at a consensus in matters pertaining to climate change and sustainability.
ICS 2021 will bring together eminent speakers, academicians, industry experts and policy makers from across the globe for sessions and discussions on hydrogen and its use as a promising source of energy. The summit is a timely endeavour that will send a positive message to UNFCCC at Glasgow in November 2021.

The Govt. of India has already announced the National Hydrogen Mission that sets out the road map for hydrogen centric policies and regulations. Scientists and industries across India have undertaken several projects, research & development in the entire value chain of hydrogen. With the cost of renewable energy in India being the least in the world, hydrogen energy will be both economically and technically viable in the near future.

Self reliance in energy through Green Hydrogen

“As demand for energy rises worldwide, there is a growing need for tapping alternate energy sources that are not only greener, but also renewable and abundant in supply. Hydrogen is one such source that has a much higher energy output per unit mass.
India’s advantage due to its geographical location, climate conditions and abundance of renewable sources of energy like solar, wind and hydro make it ideal for becoming the world’s cheapest hydrogen hub by 2050.”
